Re: Get a triple pedal from 3 ordinary pedals
I found this today. Somebody reports that a Korg DS1H pedal seems to trigger the pedal sound... quite unexpected that works...
Maybe the pedal happens to output resistance values that coincide with the values of the triple pedal.

You can trigger that also with an ordinary on/off pedal, but the result it is unpredictable. Just set the the pedal type to "triple" in the System menu and try
Would be interesting instead to understand how the NS2 reacts to Midi Sustain Pedal CC messages with values other than 00/7F, such as the ones generated by a master keyboard with a continuos sustain pedal.

Re: Get a triple pedal from 3 ordinary pedals
Thanks for the tip. I tried it and it works (although the effect is not usable as the sustain seems become inverted and toggle on and of the pedal sound).
Oh well, now I know how it really sounds and feel not too desperate to get the triple pedal anymore

Re: Get a triple pedal from 3 ordinary pedals
I've done it. Here is a video (sorry for the portuguese subtitles):
I'm going to use it with my Roland sustain pedal and a BOSS FS-6, which is a dual pedal.
Actually I've not noticed any difference on pianos using the other pedals, other than the pedal noise, but as I'm getting midi on iPad, I'll try to use it as a paginator to use with a setlist application.
If it works well, I'll post another video.
I'm going also to create a custom pedal with 3 switches to use as an integrated one.

My Brother, that looks AWESOME!
Of course, if you're going to mass-market them, our Swedish friends might be unhappy about having their logo on it, but that looks really really cool! Nice job!
Bless,
Pablo

It's just for personal use, but maybe I can assembly another's for my friends.... due to a modest payment.pablomastodon wrote:My Brother, that looks AWESOME!

Re: Get a triple pedal from 3 ordinary pedals
Very nice... Is it wireless?
Ideally it would be interesting to create a velocity sensitive sustain (which the N-triple pedal has). You need the sustain pedal to feature 2 switches closing at slightly different heights for that. See some photos in this forum.

Re: Get a triple pedal from 3 ordinary pedals
I'm looking for that. But it's not my priority, as I've not seen much use of velocity. But of course, if I find the two stages button, I'll put on it.Mr_-G- wrote:Very nice... Is it wireless?

I'll try to make a more sofisticated on future.
My idea is to have a jack for an external sustain pedal, and another to connect to the rotary.
So, if you put an external sustain, the sustain pedal will become a rotary pedal.
If you just plug the rotary to the keyboard, without an external sustain, the una corda should make the both.
I want also to make the una corda a on/off button, with a led over it.
That's a sophisticated version I'll made last year, if a got some found from friends by purchasing this one.
Bless.

Re: Get a triple pedal from 3 ordinary pedals
Here is the easiest and perfect solution to the Nord Triple Pedal Problem.
Order a SL3P-D Studio Logic. It is available on Full Compass, Amazon, Thomann etc. I saw Full COmpass at $82.00. On the right sustain pedal, leave the middle wire alone, move the wire on the right terminal of the potentiometer to the left terminal which is "free", Calibrate the gear and set screw, before you reassemble the pedal ( Calibrate by testing with your keyboard).
And That is it.
This is working with my Nord Stage 2EX 88.
Side note: The SL3P-D has two momentary pedals with the resistors, and the right pedal is a rotary pot. It is not the 2 zone sustain with resistors that the Nord Triple Pedal has, but rewired, I am getting full , and half dampered effect on that pedal. Hope this helps and I saved a ridiculous $320. Keep in mind, you kill the pedal warranty by rewiring it.
