I occasionally use the control pedal to do a "reverse morph" of volume where I can completely change sounds by moving forward the pedal. For example, I can be playing a sound on Panel A that has organ split with a synth lead and then I sweep the pedal and it lowers the volume of everything on Panel A while simultaneously raising volume on Panel B, which has a piano and synth pad. Just one example. It's really cool, deep, and flexible.
Hi Eric, I just received NSEX88 for our church (close out from Kraft) I've only spent a few hours with her (my wife's already referring to her as my new mistress) and have figured a bunch of stuff out, but there are a few things I'm having trouble with. Probably some are system settings. My pedal setup is almost identical to yours: Moog that came with unit left side organ swell (works fine), 2nd from left an old damper plugged into latch/rotor (I though I had it working to latch pads but then it didn't), 2nd from right Nord sustain/damper that came with unit, last on right another Moog that came with unit plugged into Control.
1. What am I missing to get sustain latch to hold pad drone sound?
2. Want to use "Control pedal" as morph, but haven't gotten that far, but shouldn't I still be able to use it as synth volume?
3. Want to assign wheel as rotor speed. Isn't that possible?
Any step by step help you can offer would be deeply appreciate. I have a rendezvous with her planned for tomorrow. Would really like to make her hum....

For question 1, read pages 42-43 of the manual, which explain the various settings that can change how the sustain pedal acts.
For questions 2 and 3, read page 19 of the manual. The easiest way to use the control pedal for synth volume is to simply assign a morph for the control pedal to change the synth volume from zero to full (or whichever interval you desire). Yes, you can use the wheel for rotor speed. Hope this helps.

Re: Controlling Slot B synth volume using extern
Spent about four hours today with the Lady in Red, and figured most of these things out. I had read the manual, and referred back to it several times, but there were still many things that just didn't "click" until today. Of course I've only had the thing about 72 hours. Thanks for the replies.

Re: Controlling Slot B synth volume using extern
Great, good for you, between the Wheel, control pedals with Morph function, swell pedals, latch function on the triple pedal and Organ speed with the toggle switch function, you will see that you can do crazy stuff with your feet without stoping playing, this is a strong features set of the Stage versus the other synths....Well, I don't own a Kronos or a Montage so, I might be biased on this assumption, sorry....
