Better case/bag for NS2 Ex 76 HP

Postby paulinus » 04 Aug 2015, 18:04

Hello!

I recently bought a Stage 2 EX 76 HP. It is exactly what I needed: the features of a Stage with the portability of an Electro(HP).
However, as far as I understood, the only (oficial) bag available for this equipment is identical to the one for the 88 keys’ keyboard (ex.: Stage 2 - EX HA 88).
It doesn’t make any sense to me: buying a portable keyboard and then using a huge and heavy bag. When I owned an Electro 4 HP, I had a Gig Bag (Softcase NORD Electro 3 HP) that was perfectly fine for my travels. There is nothing similar for my Stage 2 EX HP and I am quite disappointed :(

Anyone can recommend me a good case/bag for my keyboard?

Many thanks in advance for your feedback!
Cheers,
Mário Paulino

If you can get them in the EU, this is what I use. It is a bit long but I have rigid foam blocks that I put on the ends. Should fit the EX tightly around and it's very light and very nicely padded.

About the gator, in the spec its says internal width 13", while the spec of the NS2 ex HP says 13.6".
There is some tolerance in the case ? Looks nice :->

I don't know if you are using public transit or not but if you just want something light and nice, the skb iseries 76 note waterproof case is my go to for all 73 or 76 note boards. The ns2 is not a cheap instrument so I always like having a bit of rigid protection around that thing. The gig bag is sweet if you are actually traveling with the thing on your back but if you are in and out of cars, get an iseries, you wont be disappointed. I use one for my ns2sw and one for my electro 4hp. The handles are actually quite comfy

And what if you are actually traveling with the thing on your back ? Is there a gig bag to put an HP (Stage, Electro or Piano) on your back ?

I will fit. The case has 2.5cm padding on all sides and it will compress a tiny bit. It is soft foam with even softer lining in it.

The i series skb 76 case looks great, but according to the specs it's not high enough (4.25") for the NS2 EX HP (5"). Has anybody tried it?

I double checked the description of the Gator case described above; it does includes backpack straps.
Anybody use them to bring the HP keyboard around ? Feasible ?
