I have connected to my NS3 an external synth.
When I change programs , I get sometimes sustaining notes , then I have to go back to external synthy program number to kill it .
There is no "all notes off " command sent , also no possibility to make an all notes off command when I revoke the program .
The official midi command would be CC 121 , but the external menu only goes until 119.
anybody has a solution or workaround for this problem

Re: All Notes Off command for external synth
There is not enough information in your post. Do you use the NS3 as a master or slave?
Do you mean if you change program and you did not release the keys? You need to release they keys, because you do not know if the new program transmits in a different MIDI channel (some synths do store the MIDI channel).
BTW, isn't there a "Panic" button in the NS3? That should send an "all notes off" message.

Re: All Notes Off command for external synth
I had this problem with older OS. Is your NS3 up to date (1.32) ?
Actual synth: Nord Modular G2 - Nord Stage 3 73 - Virus Ti2 - Peak - Prophet 6
Before: Nord Lead 3 & 4, Stage 1&2, Wave, Virus C, DSI Tetra, P12, and few others...

Re: All Notes Off command for external synth
I use the latest OS 1.32.
I use the NS3 as a master. I change program without releasing the keys or the sustain pedal. I understand that it than can happen , that notes are stucked.
But how to stop the external synth ?
The panic button only works for internal sounds.
The external controller setting in the NS 3only goes to 119. CC 121 would be all notes off.
I think this is would be a proposal for improvement for NORD to have all notes off for the external synth when you change programs.
