Hey guys,

Recently bought a Nord Stage EX. Trying to program "Uprising" by Muse. This is my first Programming attempt so I'm learning the rules here. I think I know the answer but I'm hitting a limit on the Synths.

I've created three Synth sounds 1. the perfect Bass,
2. Pad (strings) and
3. Synth ("flute/glide")

I'm trying to split the Bass and the Pad sounds on Panel A and put the other "flute" Synth on Panel B - but no luck yet.
How would any of you experienced Norders program/perform this tune?

A related follow up question:

I also have a novation impulse 61 controller. Would I be able to play the bass part on that controller through the external interface while still layering the other two synths on th NS? If I do that do I need to use the main stage III with the novation or can I just go direct into the Norred and that's all I need?

You can only have 2 synth sounds on the Nord Stage 2 at any given time.

Sample your first two sounds and make a new nsmp with the split sounds in slot A and the other sound in slot B = 3 synth sounds.

Hi,
you probably saw this patch for the Nord Stage: post69152.html
I think it is great. The bass is done viua a very distorted Organ which sounds great IMHO. This leaves you two Synth sections free.
When playing it on my NS2, I even use only one Synths, and use the LP24 filter closed to make the Synth more PADish for the verse.

You could use Audacity to record different sounds and mix them down to single wavs.
