I have an RD300NS and I would be interested to know how you manage to get it to work with slm. I have been trying for a while but with no luck.
Can you help me?

Re: Set list maker and NS2
Hello Keith Bowie,
I 've used this app with the following rigs
NE3+NW
NE3+RD300SX
NS2 (my current live board)
In the RD300SX manual (you own a different RD300 version, but it is possible that it's the same over there) there is a chapter titled "selecting sounds from an external midi device".
In my version of the board, you have to set the 32 "setups" (this is the word that is used by Roland instead of "program") and then set the midi presets in the app like this: MSB=85, LSB=0, Program=1-32 (depending on the setup you wish to recall).
Look into your Roland manual and it's gonna be there.

Re: Set list maker and NS2
Hey
Why is SLM better than using ForScore?
ForScore can arrange your sheet music library and you can add a button to change your patches via midi.
Thanks
Always looking to make this process easier!
My biggest problem with the Stage 2 is the way we access patches - you have to memorize where you put it and then scroll to get it.
Live mode only gives you 5 choices and they DON'T even show the patch title!

Re: Set list maker and NS2
I've been using SLM for a couple of years now and would be lost without it. We're a covers band and very few songs use the same preset so D bank is now full and I'm happily chewing into C bank. If I had to whizz through that little lot to find the next song my band mates would rapidly get very annoyed. One tap and I'm good to go. Better still, I've rigged up an Airturn footswitch which connects to SLM via Bluetooth (bit temperamental sometimes and often needs talking to sweetly or firmly, depending on stress levels, to get it to work) and that allows for very rapid and secure programme changes, even within a song. The Nord buttons aren't that big and tend to shrink in the heat of gig battle, so a large chunky footswitch is a far safer option.
A breeze to copy the setlist to the next show and edit as required, very customisable, and syncs effortlessly between devices. Wouldn't recommend syncing with other band members, however, as that customisation is different from player to player and I managed to wipe all the singer's lyrics once, which made me very popular.
In short: couldn't live without SLM and can't recommend it highly enough.
