Trying to get a Roland EV-5 to work as volume control. Keyboard recognises the pedal and I can see it registering the movement as going from 0 to 100% - but this makes no difference to sound levels.
Can anyone confirm if Roland EV-5 is compatible with Nord Piano 3

Re: Roland EV-5 / Nord Piano 3
I'm using one with a Nord Stage 3, and have no problems with it... It also works with my Nord Electro 3.

from NP3 Manual, page 19:
*Apart from connecting the appropriate pedal, also make sure that the Piano and/or Sample Synth panel controls for Sustain and/or Volume/Ctrl Ped are active for the pedal to function.

Re: Roland EV-5 / Nord Piano 3
I am having a similar issue with a NP3. I've got a volume/expression pedal plugged in, but it's not one of the listed brands in the settings. I can see it registering as I set the gain and volume of the pedal, but no sound difference. Where do I find the panel controls for volume/ctrl ped? It's plugged into the volume jack in the back. Using the same pedal on a NS3 and it works fine.

Each instrument section has toggle controls with LED indicator lights for enabling/disabling sustain pedal and control pedal independently. If you don't have a manual, download one from the Nord website. It will be your friend.
