Hi,
I'm very close to buying a Nord Piano (subject to selling my trusty old S90ES). I am predominately a piano player and already have a Nord C1 so this ticks the boxes for my requirements. My only concern is whether a Nord Piano 2 is due for release any time soon? When I bought my C1 I was a bit miffed that a few months later the C2 came out. Does anyone know of any rumors of a Piano 2 in the pipeline?
Toby

Welcome to the forums.
Hi Toby,
Clavia is usually very tight lipped about upcoming products.
So most rumors, if any, are false.
The NAAM show is 19, January.
Any new products will be unveiled there.
My instincts on the subject says that there probably isn't a Nord Piano 2 with this one.
To be certain, it's only two weeks away.
However it's a safe bet that it'll take awhile for any new products to ship to retailers.
The Nord Piano is already a great product. The sounds continue to improve with every new release.
A new sound can be a game changer to an existing product.
Cheers, Hanon

Re: On the verge of a purchase
Thanks for your reply,
I've got to wait to sell some equipment so I'll see if anything is launched at Naam. I'm very impressed with the Nord Piano as I am with the Electro HP which also has a surprisingly decent action considering it only weighs 11 kg, but I really need the full 88 keys so that rules it out for me.
I think the combination of a Nord Piano and a C1 will make a pretty potent live rig.
Kind regards,
Toby

Or you can buy the NP88 one of these days in a shop that guaranties a 14 day return policies.
If... there is a NP 2 88 around the corner, send the NP88 back.

Re: On the verge of a purchase
Got my NP88, wow what a machine!. The Lady D is pretty cool and the Rhodes sound sets really stand out for me so far. I'm looking forward to checking out the piano library sounds.
I had a last minute play on some other contenders and seriously considered an Electro HP wich has a better action than you'd expect for the weight (a bit lighter than the NP88 but still very expressive) but the 88 notes and larger piano memory swung it.
Very nice bit of kit
