Hi,
My question was not precise enough.
I was asking about the noise...
Is that a keybed noise or an audio output noise?
If it s an audio, that s why I was asking about the curve or the sample used.
Cheers

Re: NP3 vs Yamaha CP4 action
...ah..ok...so it is a keybed noise, but it happens ONLY if i play the keys like a mbira instrument. So no problem when i play the np3 like a piano. Hard to understand, but the noise can occurs sometimes, if i play really fast, it comes from just under the keys, in'the front i think. But this is not a issue, lots of keybed may have this special feature. So...

Re: NP3 vs Yamaha CP4 action
Not sure I get the pianissimo thing. I play exclusively the #1 setting for all the piano samples on the NP3. I really have to try very, very hard to play a key so softly and gently that no sound is produced at all. I can do this on the acoustic grand as well but it also requires a lot of effort and is not at all likely to ever happen during the course of regular playing of a song either on the NP3 or on the acoustic (Yamaha C2) grand. After 6 weeks of playing the NP3, I am constantly amazed at the dynamic range and expressivity of this keyboard. Not sure what "pianissimo" really means, but I feel I am able to achieve the full range of dynamic expression on the NP3 from "very soft" to "very loud". I too would like to trial the CP4 action someday and compare to the NP3, but for now am quite happy with the NP3 sounds and playability.
Re: NP3 vs Yamaha CP4 action
Hi Lordy,
I tried also to play very lightly ... and .... a very light sound came out.
When i pull very very slow there is no sound but neither on a real piano, so i don't really understand what you experiment with your no pianissimo thing ...
Cheers
