Nord Sound manager/editor

Website doesn't include NP listed as compatable, but the manual for the manager does and i think thats what i need. I want to create/load my own multi-layer custom sample instrument and at the same time interested in having a good keyboard for piano practice and live sound.

Will NP work? Any advantage to NP2 for this purpose?

Thanks all,

Hello ooovitaly,
Welcome to the forums :welcome:
NP isn't compatible with samples from the Nord Sample Editor or Nord Sample Library.
NP2, NS2, NE3, NE4D, and Wave products are.

What do you mean by "multi-layer custom sample instrument" ?

Cheers, Hanon

I am recording my own custom sample set, taking 352 samples (88 x 4) and i want to trigger them via 4 velocity sensitive layers -- maybe the better route is to just use a sampler but figured since I am in the market for a nord piano or something w good action and such, i would give the nord manager a run for its money

The Nord Samples don't allow multi-layer samples yo you can only use one velocity layer in the NP. Might try a dedicated sampler for that.

That definitely rules out the clavia software for this purpose. Darn! Any suggestions for good sounding software sampler that i can sw mono/stereo mode but have multi-layers? I have a fairly new i6 mac -- i have used the esx24 in logic and that might as well just work

Anyway thanks once again!
