Hello

Though I have been using a Nord Micro Modular for many years, I am new to this forum.

My old stage piano, which is quite big (33kg, plus 17kg for the case), now stays at home. After several tests in shops I decided to get a Nord Piano for live use (with the "legs" stand and the original triple pedal).

My question: how much does the Nord Soft Case weight?

Well, it is just cloth and plastic corners and wheels.

Just by approximation, lifting mine, I'd say it weighs around 3kgs - around 7 pounds.

It seems very light! I will probably get this instead of a new "light" hard case (I take care of transportation myself). The only thing I regret is the Nord Soft Case is not waterproof, but I can put some plastic bags around the keyboard.

Too bad no shop has this case in stock here...

I've got a 88-bag and as mentioned in the other thread, 7-8kg is definitely more like it.

Truth be told I never weighed the case alone. Actually I never weighed the NP either...

OK, thanks for confirming.
Well, if it weights 7-8kg, maybe I can find a hard, waterproof case with wheels that weights only slightly more (SKB for example) and costs similar or even less. I will have a look at this tonight, I cannot investigate it at the moment.
