Is it NP3 keybpard using fatar tp40w?

Re: Is it NP3 keybpard using fatar tp40w?
The NP3 exists only in prototype form at this time. No one anywhere on the planet is playing them except perhaps inside the four walls of Nord HQ in Stockholm. There were four such units available for inspection/playing at the NAMM show. They were boxed and return-shipped to Stockholm about 12 hours ago.
This is not the TP/4OW action. It is a completely new and radically different action and was very well received by everyone at NAMM who played it. Those individuals who have expressed dissatisfaction (Al?) with the HA keybed will definitely want to check this new bird out.
It is my understanding that this will become available (in the US/Canada anyway) in May of this year. As with all new model releases, it is to be expected that market demand will cause the first shipment or two to sell out very quickly (often presold).
Special note: reading ad copy which says "ivory touch" before arriving at NAMM did not inspire me greatly...until I actually laid my hands on one. It is AMAZING how much of a difference this makes. Hardcore piano players will DELIGHT in this action!
I believe that Studiologic will (or already has?) also release an instrument with this keybed. I do not study their product line and do not have details on this...
Bless,
Pablo

Studiologic new keyboards are the SL88IGRAND that uses the Fatar TP40W keybed (the sandwich wood and plastic one) and the SL88ISTUDIO that uses the lighter Fatar TP/100LR keybed (without the Ivory feel).pablomastodon wrote: I believe that Studiologic will (or already has?) also release an instrument with this keybed. I am not aware of any official announcement regarding the answer to this question
given that the salient new feature of the NP3 is the triple contact, ivory touch keybed, I believe that it is highly doubtful that this will occur

Re: Is it NP3 keybpard using fatar tp40w?
The Studiologic SL88 Studio uses the Fatar TP100/LR keybed (same as HP Nord models) with triple sensor, so from the keybed point of view the possibility is there.

Re: Is it NP3 keybpard using fatar tp40w?
Just ask the guys at Nord. When I did that in 2013 I was asking for the exact model used in the Nord Stage 2. And I got a precise answer:
Both the Stage 2 76/88 and the Piano 2 use the same Fatar keybed (with one
small exception, the Stage 2 has after touch). The keybed is the TP 40/M. We
do not use the graded keybeds, that information is not correct. The after
touch makes the Stage 2 a tiny bit "softer" when you hit the bottom, but
that difference is very, very small.
Re: Is it NP3 keybpard using fatar tp40w?
The guys at Nord say:
[...]The keybed is still a Fatar TP40, but for the NP3 it is enhanced with a triple-switch system,
which facilitates a new range of techniques and nuance (in combination with the software side of this
which we refer to as “Virtual Hammer Technology”). It also uses a different key material, which gives
a smoother, ivory-like touch, and uses a heavy key action, as opposed to the medium action of the Nord Stage 2. [...]

So it is TP40/H with triple sensor and ivory-feel coatingronzo wrote:The guys at Nord say:

Re: Is it NP3 keybpard using fatar tp40w?
So did you get to ask about 73 key version?
Does anyone know if Fatar has done any fine-tuning to TP 100 given all the negative comments that seem to characterize this key bed?
