Hi!
As a former NP88 owner (traded inn for a Kurz pc3k8) I long for the ease of use, great sound and playability of the Nords. So I have decided to take the plunge and shell out for å brand new set of keys!
Problem is I cant seem to make up my mind - should I go for the NP2, with its to me familiar interface and upgraded features ( delay and layer/split was the only things I missed on my NP88 ) or do I opt for the alltogether more powerfull NS2...
The main focus of my music is piano/ep with the ocational layer of strings, but some of my side-projects would benefit from the synth and organ sounds in the NS2.
I can get both the NP2 and NS2 at "reasonable" deals from my dealer, so price shouldnt be an issue.

Re: Nord Piano 2 or Nord Stage 2
The NS2 is much more powerful, since it actually allows you to layer/splic 2xorgans;pianos;synths. But that does not mean it is what you need. If you only seek Pianos and EPs with synth layers the NP2 may do what you want since it allows you to layer pianos with samples from the sample library or you can even make your own samples for it.
If you do not really need organ and synth, I think you should only make the jump to NS2 if you need multitimbrality, more than one piano at a time.
Yet if you do need the Organ section for some proyects, then I wouldn't hesistate, you really can't go wrong with the NS2 if you already know and accept its limitations (because it is not a workstation rather a stage keyboard).
