Low octave for Grand Imperial

Postby pursuance » 08 May 2017, 00:58

I like the Bösendorfer Grand Imperial sample for use with my Nord Piano 3 — just trying to sound like Cecil Taylor! (Well, not really.)

The Grand Imperial is a 97 key instrument, and I was wondering if anyone knows whether the Nord samples include actual samples for the additional low keys or if they are just computed. I only thought today to try accessing those sounds by switching the octave setting. The sounds do appear, and are impressive, but I'm wondering if they are authentic. I also wonder if my audio equipment is able to reproduce them properly.

Thoughts?
