Do you always turn off your keyboard when your not using it with the switch in the back ? Or do you keep it powered on ?
I suspected that it would power off by itself after an hour of no use... but this does not appear to be the case.

Why should you leave anything on if you're not using it?
I even switch mine off during breaks. Switching it off will probably extend the life of all electronic components.

I was just curious...
It was pictures like this that got me thinking... maybe its left on 24/7 because you don't have access to the power switch on the back ??
I thought maybe the Nord would power off by itself after a period of inactivity ?
Wouldn't this wear the switch out on the back ??

In my studio, everything is turned on by a single switch in a rack right in front of me, so it all gets turned off from that, I never touch the Nord's power switch.
Same thing at a gig, Power Conditioner switch turns everything on, stays on until we are done playing.

I turn everything off after use. Just habit, I guess.

I think I'm the 'green dog' here: I never turn off my keyboards (the ones that stay at home of course).... I'm lazy, I'm afraid......
It's not true that switching them off will increase their life. In fact it can short them.

Yeah, right.
So you think that if you leave your keyboard on while you're taking a three week vacation you actually extend its lifespan?
Gotta remember this one...

Not only do I turn off, I also unplug. Even though we have a very stable electrical current here, you never know when a clap of thunder is going to send a surge...of course, a surge adapter would sort that, as soon as I get a round tuit.
