Hello! I've got a Nord Piano 2 HP and now I've bought a MIDI cable to connect the piano to my computer and write notes in Sibelius 6 but it doesn't work and I cannot understand why. Does anyone now what the problem can be and how to solve it?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Connect Nord Piano 2 HP with MIDI to a computer
Hi Annisvik,
The factory default setting for midi output on the instrument is USB 1. Go into Midi Menu and reset that to Midi 1 (or 2-16) and you will find the love.
Bless,
Pablo

HI everyone, yes I have set the midi output to 1 as described above, but it still wont transmit the midi that way . . how do you get the setting to stick? where is the 'enter' button??
anyone have this problem ? also should the little MIDI light come on (under the master level wheel? or is that for input only or something? thanks if you can help.

midi light is for input only
there is no extra procedure to make menu settings "stick." this happens automatically.
Sibelius, or any other midi-compliant program, should have a configuration page on which one selects the midi device one wants it to listen to. perhaps Sibelius is not "seeing" the Nord? or the Nord has not been selected?
