Nord Lead A1r connecting via midi

Postby Falu Quilombo » 13 Oct 2016, 02:22

Hi, im thinking on buying a Nord Lead A1r to connect to my nord electro 5d. I would have to connect it using the traditional midi cables or is it possible using the usb midi?

USB will only work with a computer "in the middle" and some -simple- software to forward the MIDI signals from one synth to the other. Otherwise you'll have to use real MIDI cables. There's no problem with that, the content of the MIDI stream between the synths will be the same, no matter if it is transported by USB, DIN-connectors, serial link, WiFi or ethernet.
