Nord's classical Virtual Analog Synth Nord LEAD 1/2/2x/3/4/A1 and Nord Rack versions

I just really use the tempest for drums some people use the tempest
For synth sounds I do some times. I love my tempest
I will never get rid of it unless Dave smith come out with a new tempest.
As far as Nord lead a1 goes I think it pairs perfectly with
The tempest I wish tempest had full midi capability. To be honest I'm not missing sub37
Nord lead a1 is doing the job

Indeed the A1 is a marvelous synth!! I wanted a sub37 for a while but couldn't pull the trigger. Ended up buying a secondhand Moog Minitaur for that classic, squelchy sub tone that I couldn't quite replicate on the A1.

...And the Tempest sounds fantastic too!

Don't get me wrong sub37 is nice I miss the arp on sub just a little
What I love about the Nord lead a1 is that I can have bass
On A and lead on B another lead on C and arp on D love it
I can play all voices at once or I can play the individual
That's what I love about the A1r.

Also happy owner of the A1 now. What a sweet spot monster! I am so happy, it can achieve exactly what I wanted from it (70th, 80th Funk, Disco, Hip Hop) in such a short time. I have more proper sounds in a minute than I ever got out of the Virus TI. But above that I also managed to get some modern sounds out of it, without that much compromises.

I've had my A1 for less than a week. I love my Sub37 too, but if I had to choose, it's no contest; though that's really an apples-to-oranges comparison. I do hope they add an OLED to the next revision though. The LEDs are terrible in comparison to the Piano 3's OLED. But man, what a great synth for the price/weight/portability. It could use a better keyboard as well, and with aftertouch, pretty please.

I've got my A1 for a while now and its next to my slim phatty so oh yeah baby! however, I only take the A1 out to gig as the phatty likes to warm up and there is less messing with cables.

Nord lead A1

I love the A1 too, but wish that the keybed was of better quality. I had the Sub37 but returned it - I don't like the large height of the black keys

I have to agree. The keybed is unfortunately the Fatar TP7 instead of the far better TP8/9 ones. Also the velocity is not really consistent.
