Is it possible to switch the Lead A1 from Program Mode to Perfomance mode by way of sending a sys ex message from an external midi controller,(I don't want to do this manually on the Nord itself)as I have my live rig Racked up out of reach and use a remote control midi device to access all modes of my other racks
I also don't want to be in Performance mode all the time and just switch programs inside those using Program/Bank changes per slot/Midi channel,as some of my Performances have sounds edited inside Performance mode so all my programs for those certain performances are not available in the actual single program slots,so its not feasible for me to be in Performance mode and just call up single sounds per slot,this is why I switch modes for certain sounds.
my Live set comprises of using some single programs and then using some multi slot performances,in the past I have used the actual Synth itself and just switched from Program to Performance mode manually but I have since purchased a Rack model A1 so the Rack needs to be switched from Prog/Pfm mode at various points in the set via my table top controller remotely as it won't be within easy reach like the synth was.
I don't want to be sending bulk dumps of PFM setups mid set neither per song as some song switch from prog to performance mid song and then back again ,its more hassle and more prone to going wrong mid set with that amount of Bulk data being sent at once,Currently i just switched modes manually on the A1 then my sequencer sent out bank/Program changes to select the correct sound/pfm.
I'm conversant with writing and sending Sysex strings with all my other synths,and able to send the messages from my controller to other synths to switch modes I use a Novation Remote Zero to assign system exclusive messages and it works perfectly for all my other gear,but I'm unable to find any documentation on the Nords System exclusive message strings.
Normally most synths will send out this data if you switch modes on the devices itself,I've worked out the data from other synths by recording the strings into an editor whilst pressing the respective buttons or the manuals have the Hex codes to work them out,but the A1 doesn't seem to send any sysex data out to be able to see the various HEX codes
Anyone know the sysex string or if it even uses Sysex to be able to switch from Prog to PFM mode
