Nord Lead a1; Key problem

Postby gwun_ » 30 Apr 2017, 07:02

Hello, I have a problem with the keys on my A1.

Most of the time when I play notes on the keyboard, they do not register for playback. Now don't get me wrong, the sound will play. However, I have to hit at least 2 notes at once to get immediate sound from it. If I play one note, the key may or may not immediately sound. A single key will sound, however it takes usually 2 tries to get sound from that key. This happens to all the keys on the keyboard.

Does anyone have any ideas about the problem? A bad connection from the keyboard to the motherboard? I read on a different form, a similar problem occurred with another user's Lead 2x.

Not sure what the problem could actually be because I just bought the synth today.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

A bad connection between keyboard to motherboard could be a cause, however if this happens regularly and on all sounds and you just bought the synth, you should ask for a replacement, whatever the actual cause is.

The Lead 2X has some different routing/assignment possibilities which can and will under certain conditions result in only hearing every other note -- IF all audio outputs are not connected. It's a rotational scheme whereby one note comes out of one side and then the next out the other side, back and forth. Keeps things moving around in the stereo field. That is by design, and only happens when the instrument is programmed to do so.

The symptoms you relate from your A1 appear to be completely different. I am your tech support representative and you are invited to contact me as shown below.
