Nord Lead 2X and Lemur

Post by Rmm123 »

Hi,
I know there are NL2X Editors out there and I use the Mystery Islands one on OSX - which really is brilliant! It is the best one out there.
But I am keen just to create my own Lemur Template/Layout for the 2X.
I have started designing knobs etc and they are working between my iPad <-> 2x nicely.
However, I would like to see all the patch settings on the iPAD change when I do a patch change on the NL.: That is, change a patch on the NORD and when I hit a button on the iPad the new patch settings should be reflected/selected on the IPAD lemur controls.
Anyone know how that could be done - obviously some sort of script with SYSEX messages but I would not know where to start.
EG: I am on SLOT A, Midi Channel 1, Global MIDI is on CH16

It would be a great help if someone can help me with this.

Thanks,
Muied Lumens

You need to send it an All Controllers Request sysex message, described on page 109 in the manual.

In other words... or numbers (decimal):

240 51 0 4 20 0 247

That's for slot A, channel 1.

I love Lemur! Using a sequencer on CC's on the Nords really make them come alive.

Hi Muied,

Thanks for the reply:

I worked that out yesterday as well about the controllers request but my problem is - it appears that you have to use scripting to parse the RETURNED values into the various controllers, etc. I am still very new to LEMUR.

Sounds like you are an experienced LEMUR user.
I would be happy to pay you to help me get started with this project. Hope you are OK with this idea.

John
