Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and over christmas i became a new owner of a Nord Lead 4r. This is my first Nord synthesiser and after a couple of weeks of playing around with it i'm totally amazed that i never invested in Nord synths in the past. The sound of these are absolutely amazing and programming is a dream. Anyways its nice to be here on the forum, plenty of useful info.
Happy New Year to all
Rob

Hi and welcome!
Yes, Nord instruments are amazing in sound, handling and quality. You can hear and feel that they aren't mass production products.
And also 'yes', this forum is fantastic - a rich source of information and skilled people.
I wish you lot of fun with your new red baby and all the best to you for 2014!

Re: New to Nord synths - A proud new owner
Well after using the Nord Lead 4r for a while i have decided to add the Nord lead 4 keyboard version and the Nord Drum 2 to my collection. I have to sacrifice my Virus TI2 in order to get these but IMO its worth it. I'm pretty much happy with the Nord sound and they work great in Logic, now i have double the polyphony with both the rack and the newly ordered keyboard version. I looked at the 2x but i love the N4r hence i bought another.
Very happy indeed.

Hehe very expensive but with the sale of the Virus ti2 i had some crazy ideas that i wanted this Nord setup. I totally love this sound i will do some patch banks for these over the next few months when i finish other sound design jobs.
There is just something about these synths that had me hooked right away, enough for me to sell the Virus anyways.
I have a question though whilst waiting for delivery of my second Nord Lead 4 and that is: Will my Macbook Pro and Logic recognise 2 separate Nords? This is what i'll have to find out when i plug them in this coming week. Can't wait. I think i have plenty power now. Will post images when i have them set up.
All the best
Rob

Hi all,
Well my new N4 keyboard came today to go with my N4 rack and i'm pretty happy with these 2 working together in the Nord corner.. was a bit annoyed yesterday though to read that the new A1 has chorus and phaser fx yet cannot be found on the N4.
I could do without the Talk etc on the N4 and would much prefer the chorus and phaser. After that gripe though i'm well happy with my 2 Nords.. i got double power here now.

Cool Rob
My two cents: get yourself a cool BBD chorus pedal, like the Boss CE3. It's a mellow, classic, mono-to-stereo, compact companion!
