Hi everyone!
So i got the NL 4R from the U.S. over here to Israel. I changed the volatge from 115v to 230v, and changed the fuse accordingly.
Turned the nord on - and it powers on! Everything seems to be ok. When i change presets or preformances - i see the settings change accordingly.
When i move knobs - the corresponding value changes on the display.
But i get no sound.
The nord is connected via midi to a midi keyboard. Each time i hit a note - the midi led blinks/responds on the nord.
The volume knob is up. The output knob on the fx section is up, just in case.
I try listening via headphones - and nothing. I connected a couple of TRS 1/4 from outputs 1 & 2 to and amp - and nothing.
Am i missing something? What could be the reason? What else should i check?

Hej!
The MIDI LED will indicate any incoming MIDI info. Have you carefully checked all your MIDI settings and ABCD output routings?

TRS? shouldn't that be TS (mono plugs)?

Re: I get no sound from the NL 4R
TRS not needed, but I've never noticed that using one will cause any ill effect. Nord does not make an instrument with balanced outputs, so TS will ALWAYS fill the bill.
As Scania Michael mentioned, the fact that the midi indicator light shows activity means only that there is an incoming data stream. The instrument has two midi ports: the traditional 5-pin DIN and USB, but only one can be active at a time. Check your MIDI PORT setting in the MIDI MENU. Factory default is USB. Change that to MIDI and you should be in Nord Nirvana.
Shalom,
Pablo

Yup. It was all about making sure it was midi and not usb. It's beyond me, why they put something this basic, essential, crucial - on page 47 of the user manual, and give it about 2 lines - and not in the preface...
