Hi everybody, I'm desperately searching for a Memorymoog-style smooth pad as used by Chris Rea in 1985 on his Shamrock Diaries album in his songs Steel River and Hired Gun. Does anybody have an idea?

Hired Gun: the pad starts after 23 seconds and gets to full swing after 1 minute and 15 seconds:

... and, on the Steel River recording there seems to be some kind of DX-ish keys too ...

Browsing my NLA1, I just found these two, very different patches ... perhaps you can use one of them as a starting point?
And don't forget the possibility to layer several patches as a performance to obtain the phattest output!

The Shamrock Diaries album by Chris Rea was recorded with plenty of keyboards, including a DX7 and the incredible Memorymoog pad sound. One of the best. I got a feeling that deep in the heart of the A1 there must be a very similar sound...
