A1 Puts me in a rut
A1 Puts me in a rut
Hi all,
I've got a bunch of cool gear, but I have to say the best piece of gear I have is my A1. It is incredibly flexible and I can make it do almost anything that I need it too. The programming is quick and the sound is great.
The problem I have (and it's a good one) is that when I have to play a different gig, I find myself just falling back on my A1 rather than learning to do things on my other gear. Between that and the NS2, they cover pretty much all the oldies that I need to play.
Maybe it's time to sell off the other stuff!

Re: A1 Puts me in a rut
Selling what?
Nord Electro, yes....no need with the stage 2
Moog? no you will regret the Moog sound...
Prophet 08....WTF, you have the DSI sound...I play it with my Nord 2X and both together they are huge...
Nord Wave, a classic, one of the best among Nord synth...
Just sell the Electro...
If you still want to sell the wave, I buy it, or the Moog....let me know if you make this decision
Bye

Re: A1 Puts me in a rut
Indeed : The Nord Lead A1 is a wonderful machine !!! Quick to program, super intuitive and it sounds incredibly analogue.
I think it's my best synth ! I also own a DX7 / Alpha Juno 2 / Wavestation / AnX1 / SuperNova 2. Furthermore a fantastic Nord Stage 2, which is also supercool !!!
Have fun with your A1

Re: A1 Puts me in a rut
I just bought myself a summer gift - A1r module - fits perfect on my Nord Stage2, but I realize it would take some time to learn to program it. I thought the A1 should behave more like Stage 2, Example I tried to make a simple square tone like the one KYGO (Norwegian artist!) use in "Stole the show" - On my Stage2 I am wery close, but on the new Lead A1r I get very different results using the same waveform etc... OK - guess I just need to practice more.

Re: A1 Puts me in a rut
The A1r is just on the Nord music stand wide.....but no room left for any score...
