I tried to find the answer in the manual, but it wasn't explicitly stated. Can you enable multiple effects at once? (Ring mod + drive, for instance) or is it only one at a time?

The separate panel sections (Delay, FX, Reverb) can be enabled simultaneously. Within the FX section specifically, you can enable only one choice (Ring, Phase, Flange, Chorus, Ensemble, Drive) at a time. Do note that a separate Drive is available within the Filter section.

Kinda frustrating when you know that the power is already under the bonnet to power four slots. The Ensemble + Phaser would be a good combination.

Set up two slots with ensemble, one with HP filter and one with LP filter and then use a synchronised LFO sweep them both at the same time. Use multifocus to edit your slots as one sound.

Seriously. That's a great tip.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the slot architecture on the Nord gear is amazing. I don't know why other manufacturers don't follow suit and develop this kind of real-time multi-timbrality.
