I've listened to a lot of demos of the A1 online and it sounds great, but I haven't been able to find a demo that really shows off the differences between the filter types. Does anyone have a link to such a demo? Or maybe just record some quick audio playing chords with slow filter sweeps at different resonance values for each one?
Specifically what I'm looking for is a synth that can sound similar to the Roland Juno type filter. The resonance on the Juno is unique when you turn it up - instead of just sounding like a sine wave on top of your audio, it has a nice sounding "growl" that blends well with the original sound. Right now I have a Yamaha Reface CS which does a great job of emulating the Juno filter in my opinion. But I'm interested in the A1 as a big upgrade from the Reface, if it can get those same types of sounds I'm after.
Thanks in advance.

Re: A1 filter types - request for demo sounds
1) Go to your local store, if you have one and try it.
2) If you dn't have one, order one from any good online retailer with a full 30 days return policy (Sweetwater?), try it, then keep it or return it.
3) If paying the full amount is too much, use their in-store financing...
I would never really trust any demo online, even some reviews, especially with the filter of a synth: I hesitated too much to buy a Prophet 08 due to the reviews and comments on forum (Not that good, not really Analog because DCO and not VCO) but I love it.
Same thing for the Prophet 12 (Same comments about digital OSC etc, good for tweakers, not for players etc...) and I love it too, really different from my P08 tough.
So, as your concern is what makes a Synth really different from another one, I would trust my ears only, at home, with the Music I usually play.
Just my 2 cts.

Re: A1 filter types - request for demo sounds
@Puukka - thanks, look forward to hearing it.
@Quai34 - that would be ideal, but the Nord is one of a handful of synths I'm considering, none of which are at local stores. So I listen to online demos to narrow down my search. I don't want the hassle of returning 3 or 4 keyboards and losing shipping cost. When I do decide which one to buy, I will wait for a good deal on a used one.

There is also a demo here of the filters : https://youtu.be/g9flnDK-lzY
You might also check out the Behringer DeepMind 12 as it is Inspired and further developed from a Juno.

Thanks a bunch Herbert! Very helpful, you rock. With lower resonance the LPs will obviously sound very similar, but I really like that last one (Moog with reso turned up).

I did see that video, was a little disappointed that they kept the Drive turned up most of the time.
Yep, the DM is on my list too.

At sound explorer:
Yes, I know, I was always, both in France and in Canada, very close to a serious retailer....So, I can understand your concern....
Good luck with your choice anyway.
