Hej!
Syncronicity
Oscillator hard sync secrets
The Cars' "Let's Go"
... inspired me to have a go at exploring the Snc of Osc Config
Recipe
Osc: square + sync, Lfo Amt 5.5, Lfo 2.2 tri - changing the harmonics constantly
Mod Env: A 0.5, D 0, R 0 - just enough to give a cool "chaff", Mod Env Amp 10.0
Filter: LP24, freq full, res 0, kb track 1
Amp Env: A 0, D full, R 0 - on/off
Unison 3 - there can never be too much
Rev Stage 1 3.0 - as always
Chorus 3.0 - it's there, why not use it
Vibrato to wheel - why not?
The more I tweak my NLA1, the more I love it!

Re: NLA1 patch; Syncronicity EPILOGUE
Hej!
NL2X & discoDSP Discovery?
I spent an hour trying to create a similar patch on the NL2X ... but no ... I did not succeed - it can't match the sweetness of the NLA1:
(Elektromin/Anders and Ricard: what is always wrong with my NL2X approach?)
This is how I set it up
I also spent more than an hour giving the Discovery a chance ... layering two slots ... settings shown below ... but the result was so depressing that I made no recording:
... ant the winner is, of course; NLA1!
/Amicalement

Re: NLA1 patch; Syncronicity - now with epilogue!
The chorus on the NLA1 is very characteristic and would be hard to emulate. I think it was modelled on the chorus from a specific vintage synth. One would think that it would be possible to get reasonably close on the NL 2X though. I'll have to have a go at it (still owe you that acoustic piano patch I was talking about last weak!). It would also be interesting to see how the Blofeld would fare in this comparison.
As for the discoDSP softsynth, whoa, they really wanted it to look like the Nord didn't they!
I wonder how well it would work on the Tyrell N6
http://www.u-he.com/cms/tyrelln6
which I haven't tried myself but I've read that many people are very pleased with when it comes to its sound. Plus it's free.

Micke, the mp3 from NL2X sounds distorted, how about skipping that Line6 pod on this one?

Thanks, Anders!
I'll make a new one tonight!
You're probably right, as always.

Hej!
I removed the Pod from the NL2X. No major difference?
But I think the discoDSP sounded better tonight after a reset:

Whaddayasay?
NLA1 = LOVE!

Re: NLA1 patch; Syncronicity - now with epilogue!
This is my attempt on the NL2. (Sorry about the sloppy playing.)
The NLA1 has more depth to it but of course it has a chorus too. Still I find the NL2 sounds pretty ok considering it doesn't have an effects unit.
EDIT: Added another clip which probably suits this sound more. (Sorry again for the sloppy playing)
