Thanks for the help. It appears now when I set an Effect or Speaker to either the lower or upper parts, the effect / speaker saves globally and not to the specific part.
This is a E5D73. Just got it so I'm still sorting it out but it seems like yesterday it was working correctly. Piano could have trem1 effect with JC speaker and Organ layer could have Rotary. Now it's not working.
Help! Got this rig used and need to decide if I should return it. Maybe I need to see what os it's got and update? Anyone heard of this type of problem?

The only effects that can be assigned to multiple parts are EQ (selectable) and reverb (always global).
The other fx have to be assigned to one part or the other. So, you didn't have both amp sim and rotary in the same program.
