Is it possible to reverse control pedal on one part for NE5D?
I want to crossfade between piano and organ with my control pedal (just like turning the "part mix" knob). But havenĀ“t found a way.
It can be done on NS2. It is impossible for NE5D?

I believe you can do this if you use a Midi type of expression pedal that can transmit CC value 13 (Part Mix Level). An example of something that could do this is the Behringer FCB-1010. It may be a bit spendy of a solution, however they list for about $150 USD. but you can usually get them second hand for about $100 USD. They also take up a fair amount of room but on the plus side you can control many other midi functions with them (10 banks of 10 presets)
Keyboards:
- NS2 EX Compact 73
- Hammond SK2
- Roland VCombo VR-09
- Roland A800-Pro
- Behringer Motor 49
- Alesis Q88

I've done this using an analog control pedal interfaced through a Midi Solutions box. With an added a power supply you end up dragging 3 items along for the capability (pedal, interface box, PS)... after about 3 gigs it stopped coming out of the bag and now is stored in the closet. But it works!
If you go the FCB1010 route, get the iFCB software and a Mio iConnect to program it with (yes... another cost...). It took me over 2 years to find a setup that is easy to use, and reliable. I'm sold on the FCB1010 for a bunch of reasons, and it can do the crossfade too! One unit replaces all the parts and pieces to do multiple stuff, I also have it controlling other instruments and systems.

Ok. Like you ChuckB i dont like a mess of gears and cables. Thats why i upgraded from Ne3 to Ne5 insted of just bying another keyboard. All-in-one is my kind of bag.
So i check the MIDI pedal option and send a request to Nord (Clavia) for a future update to implement this in the next software.

You can set the volume pedal control on only one part of the split and increase this gain.

You got to love the Nord staff!
Staffan Lindroth, Product Specialist at Nord/Clavia responded the same day. They have noted my request and might consider the function in the future.
Maybe a settings in the menu for reversing one part is the way to go. I would like to have it reversed on a button, but there is no unused buttons on the panel...
Any suggestions how it would be implemented? Hold "CTRLPED" pressed for two seconds maybe?
