Reverb level on highest notes

Postby mlcmj » 08 Jan 2017, 22:14

Hi everybody!
I'm new to this forum and a fresh NE5D owner. I really love this keyboard!
Anyway I noticed something strange: on the highest notes of the keyboard (last 10 notes of my 73 keyboard or, better, the last 18 notes of the full 88 keyboard) the reverb level is higher than the rest of the previous notes. Even if I put no reverb effect at all, those last notes still have a quite long reverb! It's not a problem of keys dynamic, as the problem is still present on those notes if i transpose them down/up. This reverb problem is ONLY about the acoustic piano sounds (grand and upright) while all other sounds have the same reverb level for the whole keyboard. Also, the problem happens either with an L or XL piano sound size.
Have anybody experienced the same problem?

Thank you in advance for any answer you can give me!

PS:
My keyboard came with the 1.32 OS, while on Nord website the latest OS is 1.30 version. I didnt update it cause I thought 1.32 is better than 1.30, but... maybe on the website they keep 1.30 because the other one has some kind of bug?

I presume this is with the piano samples? If so, that is intentional, same as in real acoustic pianos, higher notes keep sounding after release. It is not rebverb, but the decay is longer as there is no damper in those strings.

True... I didn't know before either. But since I have a real upright piano in my room, it has the same behaviour :)

Interesting! I think it's clear that I've never owned a real acoustic piano :D
Thank you so much for your answers, guys.
Enjoy the music!
