I´ve got an old Nord Electro 2 and there are two factory Rhodes sounds, Rhodes 1 and 2. However, I don´t hear this "Real" Rhodes sound when I´m playing with these factory sounds.
Can anyone give me an advice on how I should adjust the effects (Modulations, Overdrice ect.) to get this "Real" Rhodes sound?
Thanks in advance
Petur

Re: "Real" Rhodes sound in Nord electro 2
The only way to get the electro 2 Rhodes sounding "real" is to add lots of distortion. Then it sounds GREAT.
Undistorted Rhodes on the E2 sound like used-up chewing gum.

Thanks Analogika. Sorry for the stupid question but how do I add distortion on the rack (effects)?

OVERDRIVE is your friend, my friend.

Re: "Real" Rhodes sound in Nord electro 2
Just experiement with different samples in nords online library. The two that I have are the MK1 suitcase Close Ideal, and the ep tines amped. half the time im not running amp emulator at all. They sound pretty good to my ears. I have a 77' mk1 stage and while the real thing is more satisfying to play and it does have a slightly better sound, The nord has alot more dynamic range and dynamic tones with more consistency in each note.

None of the Nord piano library sounds work with the electro 2.
That has its own extremely limited selection of (shitty) pianos.

Thanks for the help analogika. I tried to install new Rhodes sounds from the library but they are very strange...the sound gets broken (scratchy).

That shouldn't happen. Is ist possible that your audio jacks are dirty or have a contact problem? Does this happen with any of the other sounds?
If it ONLY happens with the Rhodes, what exactly do you mean by "scratchy"? Do you have the means to record an example to mp3 and attach it to these forums for diagnosis?

Try turning off any amp sims if you are running them. They "scratch up" the sound very quickly.

What I mean by scratchy is when I hit the key and hold it down, the sound starts sounding normal but after half a second the sound becomes like an old radio which is not tuned on any channel.
