I have both, nordstage 2 at my studie, and a nord eletro 3 for gigs.

I have load the Bright piano samples to both og Them and the same size large
But The Sound is not the same ón the eletro, All effekt like revb. And othes is the same, is it because of the Keys or what.

The effects might be different on the 2 and the Elektro...how do they sound dry? Just the piano sample, no processing?

The NS2 does indeed have a new version of the effects, which makes it sound somewhat different than the Electro 3 and the original Stage (EX). The original Stage and the Electro 3 might sound pretty similar.

Anyway, can't you get the two to sound very similar with some tweaking of the effects? It might be easier to get the NS2 to sound like the Electro 3 than the other way around.

One of the major differences between the NS2 and the E3 is that the NS2 has pedal-up string resonance (that is, with the pedal up, if you have certain keys depressed, those notes will resonate sympathetically with other struck notes), and that can create an effect that is somewhat like reverb. If this is the NS2 effect you are talking about, there is no way to achieve it on the E3. Both instruments have pedal-down string resonance, though. In the case of the NS2, you can turn string resonance off with a front panel button (but it's all or none... you can't turn on one kind of resonance without the other). If you want the NS2 and E3 pianos to sound identical, use the Small version of the piano sound on the E3 (it has no string resonance), and use any non-XL version on the NS2 as long as the string resonance button is off. As soon as you do something to enable string resonance on either one, you will hear a difference, since the string resonance implementation is not identical.

The Stage 2 can split into 3 sections, the Electro 3 cannot be split at all except for dual organ sounds. However, even the Stage 2 won't quite do what you're asking. It can do the 3-way split, with up to 6 sounds, but only two of the 6 sound can be non-piano and non-organ sounds. So you can't do cello+brass+sitar. (Apart from the fact that I don't think it has a sitar sound?) I'd probably look at a Kurzweil PC3K series or Yamaha Motif XF series.

I'm not sure, but I would say it probably could, though I think the Juno Stage is being discontinued in favor of the Jupiter 50. I would expect pretty much any "rompler" style keyboard to be able to do it, actually... so also Yamaha MOX or any Motif series, Kurzweil SP4 or PC3-anything, Korg Kronos/M3/M50/Microstation. The reason I suggested the PC3K and Motif XF series in particular (or Kronos, for that matter) is that, like the Nord, they are well designed for allowing you to load custom samples which could be useful for some Beatle "special effects."

You can only have two non-piano non-organ sounds assigned to the keyboard at a time. If you must have a third, the only way to do it within the NS2 would be to switch to a different patch. The other possible solution would be to use the EXT function, which does allow you to assign another sound to the keyboard, but the sound has to come from an EXTernal module. So if you connected some other sound source (a small sound module like a Roland JV-1010 or XV-2020, for example) that could give you your extra sound.

Good point! I forgot about that approach. It's a little work, and it does have its limitations, but sure, that could be an answer.
