Re: Nord Electro 6?
Isn't the Electro 5 still pretty young? I'm not sure what Nord's new product release schedules are like, but if they are anything like Yamaha, you're looking about four years between versions. Just my thoughts .

Re: Nord Electro 6?
Good info, thanks.
Reason for question is that I'm thinking of buying the E5. I would hate to buy it and then find out that the E6 comes out a month later.

Re: Nord Electro 6?
The E5 is selling very well at the moment. Even if an E6 was ready, Nord does not have a lot of incentive to introduce.
Of course, I could be totally wrong.

Re: Nord Electro 6?
But the Nord Stage 3 is announced today. The Stage 3 compact would be a good follow up.

And now they have in fact announced the Stage 3 compact. So I have to figure out what the difference is between the Stage 3 Compact and the Electro 5D.

Off-hand... a lot more split/layer functionality, a full synth section, more sample memory, pitch stick, mod wheel, aftertouch, more MIDI functionality, more flexible output routing

Buy it. They have to flog the Stage 3 now, and that will take much of the year. I don't expect to see an E6 until late 2018 at the earliest:
2001 (Nord Electro)
2002 (Nord Electro 2)
2009 (Nord Electro 3)
2012 (Nord Electro 4)
2015 (Nord Electro 5)
