Above you said that you got the 61 key gator bag for your Electro HP keyboard. I assume that is a 61 key keyboard? If I have a 75 key keyboard I have to get the 76 key gig bag right? Thank you in advance! http://www.gatorcases.com/p/111263-2282/g-pg-76

I'm not sure which keyboard you have. Nord doesn't make a 75-key instrument.

The G-PG-61 fits the 73-key Electro 3HP. The Electro's are shorter than "typical" instruments, because they do not have a side cheek block with pitch bend or modulation wheels.

If you have a 76-key Stage, you can see my earlier comments.

There is point that is not clear to me; you says that fit perfectly, and the original poster in the thread referred in the discussion also
says the width is perfect.

But if you at the spec of the bag (assuming it a non slim bag) the bag internal width is 10 cm more than the width of the keyboard.

It is just a different evaluation of what "perfect fit" may means (not a problem, of course), or there is something that i am missing (like,
looking up the wrong bag :) ?

So, you can nit-pick and argue about the numbers, or you can trust the word of someone who actually owns the product. The choice is yours.

Here is the link to the G-PG-61: http://www.gatorcases.com/p/111263-2280/g-pg-61

According to Gator, the interior dimensions are:
Interior Length: 42.50" (108cm)
Interior Width: 17.50" (44.5cm)
Interior Height: 7.00" (18cm)

The dimensions of the Electro's are:
Nord Electro 3 HP: 1078 mm (42.4"), 121 mm (4.8"), 344 mm (13.5")
Nord Electro 4 HP: 1078 mm (42.4"), 121 mm (4.8"), 344 mm (13.5")
Nord Electro 5 HP: 1074 mm (42.3") x 121 mm (4.8") x 344 mm (13.5")

The length is perfect. The case is wider (or "deeper", depending on your perspective and use of nomenclature) and taller, but there are straps that secure the instrument, so it does not move at all.

I am sorry, i was not nitpicking; i was just trying to understand the numbers and the opinions, and what people here intended by "perfect fit", and did not wanted to criticize anybody.
Point of views and needs are different, and so are the interpretation of numbers; if for you a 10 cm gap is "perfect fit", i have nothing against it; i just wanted to be sure that we were talking about
the same object.

I'll try to be clearer: i have a bag for my HP5, that is internally bigger than the keyboard, (do not remember the brand, but a german one).
This bag is nice, with wheels, light, but big.

I am an urban gigger, and i go to rehersals and gigs using public transportation and the metro; in this context, every cm (and gram) is important
(try to pass the ticket control in the Parisian Metro with the NE5HP in a bag to get the idea :).

I am monitoring the forum on discussions about the NE5HP bags, because i would like to get a bag that is as small as possible;
the origin of the question was just to understand if the bag in question was a better option that what i have today.

Thanks,
Maurizio

The nice thing about the G-PG-61 is the backpack straps. This will help you in the urban environment.

The Gator bag is bulkier than Nord's original soft bag for the 73HP models, and just a small bit heavier. It is, however, much more protective.

The pocket on the Gator is very large. It will most likely accommodate Nord's keyboard stand. I can verify this later today or tomorrow, as I have a stand on order that should arrive today. I say this because putting the stand in the pocket of the bag is one less thing for you to carry by hand through the Metro.

The dimension that would concern me the most is the length, particularly if you carry it vertically on your back. Because of the plush straps, your keyboard will not move in the case, despite the other dimensions being a bit larger than the instrument.

I fully understand the endless search for the optimal combination of equipment and accessories. I go through that a lot myself.

Your best bet would be to purchase the case from a vendor with a return policy and try it out yourself. Good luck in your search.

Can you comment on the comfort and rigidity of the Gator backpack straps?
Especially the velcro for attaching the straps got me worried.

I'm eying the stage 3 HP76 and definitely need a bag with backpack straps for transport on bicycle.
However, no official nord bag would do the job.

Anyone heard any experiences with Fusion bags from the UK? They seem to have nice padding below the backpack straps.
