I have a question about NE3HP live buffer slots and midi CC. Is it possible to send NE3 midi messages to switch live buffers. NS2 addresses live buffers with CC messages same way as any other programs. With NE3HP it doesn't seem to work. Anyone knows how to do it?

I know you can change to the Live programs on the NS2 using Program Change commands (not CC).
I haven't found these for the NE(4).

Sounds like NE live buffers are not part of addressable programs and not associated to midi Program Change. Too bad, I used to use it a lot on my NS2 while live playing, unexpected surprise of downsizing from NS2 to NE3HP

A workaround is to copy the 4 live programs to the 4 first normal program positions.
They are selectable using program changes.

I use midi sysexs dumps during gig to set sounds of the next song. To have more than 1 sound per song I change to live slot, dump sysex, change to next live slot, dump sysex again and so on. This way with one click from computer I can set as many sounds per song as number of live slots I have.
This approach will not work on not live program slots because they need to be saved to retain the sound but there is no midi command to for save. Once I change non live slot my sysex dumped sound will be gone.
On NS2 this formula served me well in live performance, have pc midi connected, one click before song and I have all my sounds in live slots.
Not working on NE3.
