well, it depends on how anal you want to get about it - everything needs power to some extent, and audio - I don't think it's too huge a complication, personally. The power supply they ship thoughtfully is a bump-in-the-wire vs. a wall-wart, which I greatly appreciate. Also, don't forget the footswitch remote you'll want.
Compared to some of the multi-synth/stage monitor/leslie configurations I've run throwing a Vent on top of an E3 feels similar to carrying around the Korg Monotron. (which just arrived on my desk a few hours ago - it's great fun!)
