Jazz and Blues Organ Settings
I am new to the Organ and the Nord. I would like recommendations for organ setting including all the effects for a nice Jimmy McCriff or Smith, or Rubin Wilson sound as well as any good settings for blues. Thanks

Re: Jazz and Blues Organ Settings
Jimmy Smith was famous for this drawbar setting: 888000000 i doent know if he always used the same perc. setting.
This setting i use quite alot on my Electro 3. Love it!

Use 88800000 and add scanner vibrato. For old school sound, it works very well to use the stop-option for the rotary speaker (so you switch between stop and fast instead of slow and fast). Or you can use no rotary at all.

Re: Jazz and Blues Organ Settings
NE3 has already 16 Organ presets sored - press and hold shift button, then press one of the drowbar keys (you should be in organ mode). It gives you basic understanding of the the B3 sound capabilities.
If you want to know more check the book: The Hammond Organ. Beauty in the B by Mark Vail. Order it. It has a lot of useful information.

If you visit the Downloads section of this forum, you'll find a compilation of various B3 Drawbar Settings, with source references, in Excel Speadsheet form.
