I can not find anywhere how to transpose. I have read that you hit Shift + System, the Parameter 3????
Shift up or down??

Please help! I can not use this board playing out, if I can't change keys

Thank you to every one who has suggested I "read the manual".
Here is what the manual says:

Transpose
Transpose allows you transpose the pitch of the Electro 3 up or down in semitone steps.
Range: -/+ 6 semitones (default = 0)

That's it.

Absolutely NO information or direction on EXACTLY how it is accomplished, but hey details are overrated.

First you have to enter the System menu. How that works is indeed in the manual. Chapter 6 The Menus, top of the page.

Enter the menu by pressing and holding Shift and the System button (Prog A).
Select a function (Transpose in your case) with the Up/Down buttons and change the setting by pressing and holding Shift and the Up or Down button.
Exit the menus by pressing a second time on the Prog A button.

Yes I have the Manual.
I know it say to Press Shift + System.

IT'S A 2 DIGIT LED DISPLAY.

There is no documentation on what the "code" for the function is:

Please don't anyone suggest it's in the Manual.

That's the issue.

A statement saying you can access functions, without any explanation of what they are is useless.

Apparently , there are numeric values for the different "system" functions.

But what those are no one knows.

Please stop telling me to read the Manual.

I have searched this forum extensively and no ones knows.

Please, again, if you don't own a NE3 HP, don't respond. I appreciate anyone trying to help, but unless you know, please don't.

I would assume that it does in fact transpose. It states it in the manual.
However with ZERO instructions, there is ZERO chance of accomplishing that.

I Love this keyboard. I bought it based on the fact that I heard a guy play one in a club and it sounded SOOOOOO good.

I love the sound. Awesome, freaking incredible.

The manual is useless.

Transpose is the third item in the System menu.

JBeckola, a few of us are trying to help you... we do not have to, but we do, so you might want to consider being a bit more grateful.
I also answered to your query in the other thread you posted, and pointed you to a post with step by step button sequences on how to do it. Did you try that? I was able to find that post by searching NE3 and transpose.

The manual is useless.

Your statement is nonsense. The opposite is true (see Pablo's post above). What's also true, however, is that a minimal capacity of understanding is required on the side of the user.
