Re: Experiences Yamaha FC7 footcontroller i.c.w. NORD 4D
Just in case... you are using a stereo cable, no? (TRS). I am surprised that the minimum is so low.

Re: Experiences Yamaha FC7 footcontroller i.c.w. NORD 4D
Hereby my feedback.
I bought the Yamaha FC7 and it worked good for the piano, E-piano and SampLib mode positions (0% -100% volume range)
For the Hammond mode the pedal has a 0%-100% volume range too, but you always hear a tiny little bit of sound, but that's OK for me.
So I'm satisfied with this pedal.

This is one reason I use Midi output of my FCB1010 to control volume, swell etc. Not only do I not have to rely on analog variances (once calibrated), I can re-assign the same pedal to handle different functions.

Yeah, that's right.
Anyway, I keep my KORG EXP-2 pedal for my both KORG's now, and the FC7 for the NORD.
By the way, the FC7 is a very solid footcontroller.
regards,
Rick

Hello, how do you access the Control Pedal assign on the Nord Stage2 EX?

Re: Experiences Yamaha FC7 footcontroller i.c.w. NORD 4D
My two cents:
Yamaha FC-7 works perfectly. My only remarks is that the amplitude is quite big so when put to 0 (so heel down, toes up) it's not very comfortable. The angle with the floor is quite big so If I keep my foot on it while playing, it's difficult to remain on 0.
I also have the Behringer FCB-1010 which I use with Ableton. The control pedal are less "vertical" but when it comes to precision they certainly don't play in the same league.
FC-7 all the way.

On the Yamaha, you could pre-position the angle of the pedal between standing position and a seating position....for me, the seating position is the right angle but if you play standing you have to put it into the "guitarist" position....it's well explained in the manual for the pedal....

Ooow. So there is a manual for this pedal that says more than "plug... then play" ?
I must admit I read the NS manual... but haven't even considered that the pedal one could be worth reading.
I'll go RTFM then. Thanks Quai34
