Electro 3 piano/keyboard sensitivity?

Postby robes » 12 Jan 2012, 02:02

I'm trying to adjust the keyboard sensitivity on my E3 for the piano sounds, can anyone confirm if I am able to to do this with the E3? i've read the manual and can't seem to find a way to adjust it. What makes it confusing is that this was a feature on my old Electro 2, being able to select the sensitivity on a scale of 1-10, did they remove this feature from the E3, or am I blind?

Hello Robes,
I don't believe it is possible to adjust the velocity curves on the E3 when playing piano samples. I've accepted that it is going to be somewhat unpleasant to play piano and made the best of it, and enjoyed the keyboard response for most of the other sounds. You can change the amount that velocity affects sounds from the sample library, but that's a different situation entirely as it affects only volume (not timbre).

Cheers

If you go to Nord's website and look at the comparison chart for the
E3 compared to E3 HP they show 4 velocity curves for the HP & 1'
For the E3.

As you pointed out it was a feature of the E2.
I don't understand why they decided to change this on the E3 and
Why it wasn't part of an upgrade for all the E3's when the HP was released.
Maybe someone can point out what other features were dropped from
The E2.

Thanks for such a great question.

this feature seems so obvious that it was my first complaint when i switched on my NE3 for the first time... let's consider that is part of the NE3 personality !

I think that compressor effect can help you.
