I used a M-AUDIO EXP for 4 months (~ 6 hours/week) before it started sending crazy signals :wtf:
I bought a Roland EV-5 today ... dunno how long this one will last ...
Maybe I'll have to buy a Yam FC-7 in ... 5 months :D

Identical experience here. I was going to warn against the M-Audio EX-P, for this reason. Worked fine for a while, then started sending random values every time I pushed or pulled the pedal. Useless junk.

Can this work?
I'm using a swell pedal for my C1, but it would be great that the same pedal controls the WAH-effect on my Electro 3HP when switching between them...

Has anyone tried to split the output of a control pedal to go to two keyboards? I'd like to use the same pedal to control the B3 swell on my E3 and also the volume of my Korg R3 synth

I like this idea, but as far as I know the answer is no. You might be able to use a midi device from ashby solutions do this, but otherwise I would think there is potential for damaging a keyboard to do it that way.
I used to have a piano that would allow me to filter out a lot of midi events & retain volume, that worked ok, but I would strongly discourage anyone from connecting 2 keyboards together with a foot pedal.

Don't try it!!

The pot inside the pedal is a voltage divider, being feeded with voltage by the keyboard. What you are trying is to feed one pot with 2 different voltages coming from the 2 keyboards. Two diffrerent voltages at the same point is.... A DISASTER!!!

Don't do it!

You might be able to do some tinkering with a (passive) STEREO VOLUMEPEDAL and get what you want. Try to ask at something like www.freestompboxes.org or www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum

But like others have said, don't connect two keyboards to the same connector on a pedal. Something strange is bound to happen.
