Can I download and install every sound in every clavia ?

Hello,

I look for something to remplace a Wurlitzer 200a.
I think about an Electro 3 HP73 But I want to know if I can have the lasts sounds.
Especially the Wurlitzer's sound and the Rhode sound too.

I see at this page :
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libraries/product-libraries/stage-pianos

Electro 3 HP :
Wurlitzer 1 200A 5.0

Electro 4 HP :
Wurlitzer 1 200A 5.3

Electro 5 HP :
Wurlitzer 1 200A 5.3
Wurlitzer 2 Amped Lrg 5.3

That's mean the sounds are différents.

But I see too at this page that I can download the sound :
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libraries/nord-piano-library/electric-piano/wurlitzer

I want to know if I can install this sound and all the others in a Electro 3 HP and, in general, in all the Clavia Keyboard.

I suppose the answer is yes because I can read there is some memories allocated for sound libraries :

Electro 3 HP :
68 MB (I'm not Sure)

Electro 4 HP :
128 MB

Electro 5 HP :
256 MB

My question are :

Can you confirm that I can buy an Electro 3 HP and install a sound from the sound library?

Can I expand the memory allocated to the sound library?

I can read at this page :
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libr ... nformation
There are different accuracy of sample :
  • XL The Extra Large versions
    L The Large versions
    M The Medium versions
    S The Small versions
But in this page there is only one proposal :
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libr ... /wurlitzer

I that mean there is only one choice or can I find the same sound with more quality?

Best regards.

Starting with the Electro 3, the latest piano libraries you mention can be used, provided there is enough memory in the board to download what you want to store.

The list of differences for the Electro 3/4/5 models you provided is just the list of factory installed sounds; they can be upgraded.

The Electro 3 has two partitions for sounds. For pianos, you can save up to 185 MB. For other sounds, you can save up to 68 MB.

Pianos come from the Piano Library, where you also find the Wurlitzers and Rhodes sounds. You can see the actual size of each instrument, but if I recall correctly, you can have all of the current Rhodes and Wurlitzers at the same time (in their latest versions), but then there isn't much room left for acoustic or upright pianos or clavs etc before you've eaten up all the 185 MB of storage. The acoustic piano XL version are probably not all equally relevant for the Electro 3, but in case you want to include an acoustic piano, there are some smaller samples you can load (and then maybe not have all the Rhodes there too). On my NE3, I have most of the Rhodes and Wurlitzers and also a Clav, plus one acoustic piano.

Other sounds for the Electro 3 comes from the Nord Sample Library 2.0. You can find a plethora of samples in the library, and you can also see their size and load as many you can fit into the 85 MB.

The memory cannot be expanded.

And on the electric pianos, most only (officially) exist in one version. The older ones are more like "small" samples, but the more recent ones appear to have individual samples for each note and are more like L samples, and some (EP7, IIRC) also have key-off sounds stored. The difference is whether there are sustain pedal down samples also and how many (none of the electrics have that) and to which degree one sample is shared between different keys.

There is a larger difference between the acoustic pianos; if you do a lot of solo work, then a version with sustain samples is nice to have. In a band setting, it's is often less important, I think.
