Broken Output Jack

Postby wurlisf » 31 Jan 2012, 05:05

I broke the right (mono) output jacks on my NE2 at a gig last night (actually, my guitarist ran into it!). Anyone know how difficult it is to replace one of these, and if I need the Clavia part, or can just use a generic jack? I talked to a keyboard repair guy who said it can take a long time to get the Clavia parts.

Also, interested to know if anyone can recommend a good repair tech in San Francisco.

Thanks!

I have had guys running into jacks sticking out of the back of keyboards for years. I now use right angle plugs on keyboards where they may be exposed to damage.
No help to you now, but it may be in the future. Mike

Yeah, thought of that about 30 seconds after it happened. Actually, I used to have one, but I think it was a guitarist that stole it ;)
