OK, asked this in the Stage forum and since nobody seems to be interested, I'll take my chances here
Will nsmp files containing VEL DYN ENABLED and the the other velocity controlled dynamics embedded (and made specifically for Nord Electro 3 with Sample Editor version 2.00) affect Nord Stage 2 EX in a way when uploading or Stage 2 EX would just take these nsmp's ignoring VEL DYN ENABLED, Amplitude, Filter and Attack settings with no issues?
Thanks,
Kalin

Re: A Simple Question..Need your opinion
I haven't a stage, but I think it will ignore all that parameters, as it load nsmp inside the synth engine.

Correct, only the waveform and loop points are used.
Actually, as discussed on some NS3 threads, with v3 of .nsmp they are introducing the capability to pre-set some of those parameters, i.e. to include a "default synth program" in each .nsmp, but it is still unclear if v3 will also be supported by the previous models (after an OS update) or it will be for NS3 only.

Re: A Simple Question..Need your opinion
That's an interesting information. Many thanks, Maxpiano, for confirming the old nsmp could be loaded in NS2EX! Not having their original wavs makes any edit impossible. Hopefully Nord will find a way to convert previously user made nsmp in NS3 compatible format. I'm glad for all exited NS3 owners. For the time being I don't plan to make this jump since I've just acquired a brand new NS2EX and have lot to learn and experiment.

Does anyone know how I can download patches currently in my Electro 5D to some sort of memory stick?

Yes you'd have to use Sound Manager to do a backup to your computer. This stores all the programs/ samples etc. Then put that file onto a memory stick using the USB port in the computer.
Hope that helps.

But you cannot reload the data from the usb stick without a computer+Sound Manager.
