I bought my Nord Drum last week and set it up for the first at the weekend with my M-Audio Trigger Finger. I followed the instructions on how to set-up MIDI note triggering and despite several attempts have failed to get this to work. Could anyone here help me solve this problem, please?
Thanks
Liam
P.S. Also would appreciate advice on triggering the Nord Drum from my DAW (Sonar X2 Producer). Thanks again.

Re: Nord Drum MIDI triggering problem
Hi,
Just to be sure:
1) Match MIDI channel;
the default channel of the Nord Drum is 10, so either set your M-Audio to transmit on that channel, or change the channel the Nord Drum listens to -to match the channel that the M-Audio transmits on
2) Match MIDI notes;
for each pad on your M-Audio you can probably set the MIDI note it will send, the Nord Drum 2 responds to incoming MIDI notes 60, 62, 64, 65, 67, 69, =default setup, can be altered..
make sure the notes match, - then perhaps this is useful: http://www.midimountain.com/midi/midi_note_numbers.html
another remark; you will only be using 4, or 6 of your 16 pads, depending whether you have the Nord Drum, or Nord Drum 2 resp.
Perhaps you already know all above, and set it up correctly, then perhaps a faulty MIDI cable?
