Hello!
Can the Nord Drum 2 simulate hand claps well? I haven't heard many demos with the Nord and claps. Thanks for any info.

Re: Hand Claps
Hi Ricoche,
The ND2 can simulate claps quite well. In the noise envelope section there's Attack Mode which will allow you to choose between traditional AD, cyclic LFO's or Clap mode. There's 9 clap settings (or reverb phase lengths) that get combined after a sawtooth wave(s) (defined by attack/rate amount). The overall length of the clap sound can be adjusted with the noise decay. Additionally the noise decay can be dynamically controlled (with dec lo amount) although for a clap sound a single decay should do the trick. (See pages 16-18 in the manual)
I dig the clap sounds, really easy to dial in
Cheers,
Nate

Re: Hand Claps
Thanks Nate! That's what I needed to hear. I'll probably pick up the Nord Drum 2 over the weekend.
