I can't set a gate.
i checked the manual and it says:
"Hold Shift and turn the Dial to quickly choose between the exponential, linear or a gated response of the noise envelope decay. Range: 0-50E, 0-50L, 0-50G"
for some reason I can only choose between the E and the L gate. I also tried different wave's.
I aim for a zero release ON/OFF sound that i used to gain with the Nord Drum 1.
anyone please? thank you!

Re: can't set gate - Nord Drum 2
Hi gerri!
For Noise you should be able to choose between all 3,
For Tone, it's just Exponential or Linear.
Cheers,
Albert

Hi gerri,
Yes the ND1 had some unique features, also the Click section had more options
I wrote the following in an old thread about playing the ND2 as a six voice synth with a keyboard / sequencer ..
(nord-drum-forum-f27/synth-sounds-with-nd2-t7046.html) But you'll need software / a device that is able to send CC messages, like Cubase:
"With 'midiConverter3' I let note-on messages turn the Decay time (CC50) to the maximum value (127), and let note-off messages turn the Decay time back to minimum value (0) - alternatively you first program a sound with a long Decay on your ND2, then let note-on messages turn Channel Level to max. (CC7, e.g. val.127) and note-off messages turn Level back to min. (CC7, val.0)"
In case you have Cubase, I'm not sure if this plugin is still available / compatible.
I agree, it's not exactly the same result as the Gate envelope, but it's just the closest I can think of.
Cheers,
Albert
