hi,
i just bought a used nord drum 2 - i especially wanted to use it with drum triggers on the live set.
i also got the nord pad with it now, and am very disappointed to find out, that trigger inputs 2-6 are deactivated as soon as the nord pad is attached.
is there any way around this setting?
i would really like to use both the pads and several triggers at the same time.
thank you, philipp

Re: activate all trigger inputs with nord pad?
Hi Pheel,
No, that is not possible. It's either the Nord pad + a (bass-)drum pad (Ch.1), or 6 drum pads..

Re: activate all trigger inputs with nord pad?
hi wartaler,
thanks for the reply - i basically figured that out myself in the meantime
but:
does anybody know what exactly the mechanism/electronics is that deacticvates trigger inputs 2-6 when the nord pad is connected?
would it be worth a try to cut one of the 8 lines of the ethernet cable (ideally the one connecting to pad nr.2, and not the 2 the might be sending electricity to the pad) and therefore "freeing" trigger input nr. 2
I would love to have a bd trigger and a snare trigger attached and use the nord pad at the same (i do not mind if i can only use 4 pads then).
any ideas out there?
and i am aware of the fact that i can attach a separate multipad via midi, or add separate pads into the trigger inputs.
i just like the size and simplicity of the nord pad, and would love to be able to use it with two extra triggers...
thanks, philipp
