Hey guys,
I was just wondering whether it was possible to put the piano sound and/or more on the Nord C2?
The files for the electro are different to those of the c2, which makes me wonder if there is a way of converting them...
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Piano Sound on Nord C2?!
Afaik there's no other samples in the C2 than the Pipe Organ.
I don't think it's possible to load/unload samples, but I might be wrong.

Re: Piano Sound on Nord C2?!
Hi,
The C2 has no internal piano sounds, but you can buy an inexpensive MIDI module to provide piano and all sorts of sounds. I did this because I wanted church bells to go along with the pipe organ. I have a Roland JV 1080 I bought on Ebay. Works great!

Hello drQuant,
Welcome to the forums.
Qtipcore is correct, there is no way of converting other samples like piano for use with the C2.
Member rayrat's solution is the most elegant.
I might recommend the Roland XV-2020, Kurzweil Micro Ensemble, or other half rack unit that could be set on the C2.
Cheers, Hanon
Btw, I don't believe that the new C2D has piano sounds either, but we'll have to wait another week to find out for sure.

Re: Piano Sound on Nord C2?!
Hey, I wanted to revisit this topic. I would like to buy a half-rack sound unit like Kurzweil ME-1 or Roland XV2020 to use with my C2. Does anyone have experience using these with the C2, especially in terms of using the C2's program change buttons to change programs on the sound module?
e.g., on the Nord C2, perhaps 'program 1' could be the internal B3 sound, but switching to 'program 2' on the Nord would activate a Rhodes patch for the upper manual and a fretless bass on the lower manual, through the sound module? Oy, my brain hurts thinking about this stuff!
